Police release mugshots of two men wanted for Leeds burglaries
Police investigating a chain of burglaries in Leeds have released mugshots of two known men wanted in connection with the offences.
The men named by police as Michael Swanson, 24, and Luke Watson, 25, are thought to be involved with a string of break-ins throughout Leeds. Watson is in hiding after failing to appear at Leeds Crown Court in connection with a number of separate unconnected offences.
Investigating officers have warned members of the public not to approach Swanson, of Temple Avenue, Rothwell, but they should instead contact police if he is spotted on the streets. Swanson is currently on leave from prison, where he is serving three years and eight months for a burglary on Royds Lane, Rothwell, that he committed in August 2013.
Detective Sergeant Paul Kravtschuk, of Leeds District CID, commented: “Officers have been conducting a number of enquiries to trace both of these men and I would like to speak to anyone who has seen them recently and can help us locate them … Both men are linked to burglary offences throughout Leeds and we believe they are in the local area.”
Anyone who thinks they could hold vital information that will lead to the successful apprehension of either of the men is urged to contact Leeds CID.
